Privacy policy

About This Policy
Nooshee, Inc. (“Nooshee,” “we,” “us”) does not sell your personal information. This policy explains what we collect through our prelaunch landing page at nooshee.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies only to our website and email list before our products are commercially available. We will publish an updated policy before launch, and we will notify subscribers when it takes effect.
Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly when you join our email list, complete a form or survey, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, ZIP code, and any answers or feedback you choose to share.
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as your browser type, device type, pages viewed, and how you interact with our emails (for example, whether an email was opened or a link was clicked). This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.
Please do not send us medical or health information through the website. We do not need it before launch.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to send you emails about Nooshee, including product updates, launch news, early access offers, and invitations to share feedback. We may also contact you in the future about Nooshee products and services.
We may combine and anonymize information to understand our community better, such as learning what features matter most to parents. Anonymized insights cannot be used to identify you, and we may share them publicly or with partners.
Advertising. If you agree when you sign up, we may use your email address to show ads for Nooshee to you, and to people with similar interests, on social media platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To do this, we send the platform a hashed (scrambled) version of your email address so it can match you to an account and build custom and lookalike audiences. Because signing up for updates about a breast pump could suggest that you are pregnant or a new parent, we treat it as sensitive and use it for advertising only with your separate consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
We also use technical information to keep the site working, secure, and easy to use.
How We Share Your Information
We never sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it with advertising platforms only as described below and only with your consent.
We use two service providers to run our website and email list: Shopify, which hosts our website and forms, and Klaviyo, which manages and sends our emails. They process your information only on our behalf and under their own privacy and security commitments. You can read their policies at shopify.com/legal/privacy and klaviyo.com/legal/privacy.
If you have agreed to advertising use, we may share a hashed version of your email address with Meta Platforms, Inc. to create custom and lookalike audiences for our ads. Under Meta’s terms, hashed data that does not match a Meta account is deleted after matching. You can read Meta’s policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
We will otherwise disclose personal information only when required by law, such as in response to a court order or valid legal request, or to protect the rights and safety of Nooshee, our users, or others. If Nooshee is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction and will remain subject to this policy.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website and emails use cookies, pixels, and similar tools from Shopify and Klaviyo to keep the site running and to understand how our pages and emails perform. We may also use advertising tools, such as the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads and to show ads to people who have visited our site. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work as intended.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing privacy@nooshee.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
Data Retention and Security
We keep your information for as long as you remain on our list or as needed for the purposes above, unless the law requires otherwise. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your US State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to receive a copy of it. You may also have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling. We do not sell personal information for money. Using hashed email addresses or advertising pixels to show you ads may count as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some state laws, and we do this only with your consent. You can withdraw consent or opt out at any time by emailing privacy@nooshee.com.
To make a request, email privacy@nooshee.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
We honor Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser as a request to opt out where required by law.
Visitors in the UK and European Economic Area
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (together, “GDPR”) give you additional rights. Nooshee, Inc. is the controller of your personal information.
Legal bases. We send marketing emails, use nonessential cookies, and use your information for advertising on social media platforms only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We rely on our legitimate interests to operate and secure the website and to create anonymized community insights. We may also process information where needed to meet a legal obligation.
Your rights. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information; to restrict or object to how we use it; to receive a copy in a portable format; and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@nooshee.com. We will respond within one month.
International transfers. We, our service providers Shopify and Klaviyo, and Meta store and process information in the United States. When we transfer personal information outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or the EU and US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, where applicable.
Complaints. You may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or with the data protection authority in your EEA country. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first at privacy@nooshee.com.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above. We will replace this policy with a full commercial policy before our products launch.
